This site is built for your eyes.
Most of our clients are 64 or older, so accessibility isn't an afterthought here, it's the design brief.
What we built in
- A typeface designed for readability, body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, created by the Braille Institute for aging and low-vision readers.
- Large text, larger if you want it, the "Text size" buttons at the top of every page make everything bigger, and your choice is remembered.
- Zoom is never blocked, pinch-to-zoom works on every page. (Many websites disable this. Ours never will.)
- High contrast, every text color on this site passes WCAG AA contrast standards; most pass the stricter AAA.
- One-tap calling, the phone number is a button, everywhere, and the number receives texts too.
- Keyboard friendly, every page can be navigated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Respects your settings, if your device asks for reduced motion, animations turn off.
Our standard
We target WCAG 2.1 AA, the accessibility standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act, and audit against it whenever the site changes.
